LCLathed & Confused

Kiln-dried hardwood, mill-direct.

We broker truckload and LTL lots between independent sawmills and the shops that run them: flooring, millwork, furniture, cabinet. You buy from the mill. We find the lumber, pin down the spec, and line up the freight.

Recently brokered: one truckload of 5/4 rift & quartered red oak, FAS, Indiana mill to Kentucky flooring plant.

How a lot gets to your dock

  1. Tell us the spec

Species, grade, thickness, footage, moisture target, and the window you need it in. A rough spec is fine to start.

  2. We source it

We work a network of independent mills across the Midwest and beyond. Grade and figure get verified with photos before anything reaches you.

  3. You get one written quote sheet

Every price we send is on a written quote sheet, with freight shown at actual cost. No verbal numbers, no freight games.

  4. The mill ships direct

Most loads go straight from the mill's yard to your dock. We stay on the shipment until it lands and counts out.

Paid on the match, not the markup

We are a commission broker. The mill pays us to move lumber; you are not funding a warehouse, a sales floor, or inventory sitting on interest. On lots we handle ourselves, the quote sheet says so.

No exclusivity, no contracts to get a quote. If the first load counts out right, you will order a second one. That is the whole business model.

Freight, handled if you want it

Every quote comes with a freight estimate. If you would rather not book trucks, we connect you with a logistics partner who will, and the quote shows that cost line by line.

Buyer pickup at the mill is always an option.

Built for shops that buy by the unit

Flooring plants chasing rift and quartered stock. Millwork and stair shops that need consistent long lengths. Furniture and cabinet shops buying FAS by the lift. If you are tired of paying distribution-yard prices for lumber that started at a mill two counties over, that is exactly the gap we work in.
